Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in Boston. When Poe was 1 years old his parents got separated. Poe stayed with his mother. Poe's mother Elizabeth died when he was 2. Mr. And Mrs. Allan adopted Poe. At 6 years old Edgar went to school in England. He dropped put and went into the army. Poe loved to write a lot he published many poems such as "The Raven". John Allan didn't support Poe with much money. After John died he didn't leave anything for Poe. A disease called tuberculosis was in the family of Poe. Many of his family members died from it even his loved wife's. Edgar Allan Poe dies on October 7, 1849.
