Poe by Jack, Nathaniel, and Cole

Edgar Poe was born on January 19, 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was born under actors David and Elizabeth Poe until they divorced when he was only one year old. He lived with his mother for two years until she died of tuberculosis when he was three years old. After his mothers death, he was adopted the Allan couple who were quite wealthy merchants. Although Mrs. Allan loved him and he loved her, Mr. Allan was very rotten to  Poe. By the time Poe was about 7 years old, Mr. And Mrs. Allan took him to England to go to school. 11 years later, when Poe was 17 years old, his father sent him to the University of Virginia and Mr. Allan gave him barely anything for college. After a year at the university, Poe eventually had to drop out because he was completely broke. So he enrolled in the army and eventually moved up to the rank Sergeant Major.  Two years after college, Mrs. Allan died from tuberculosis and for the first time, Mr. Allan and Edgar settled their differences.

After his mothers death, Poe moved to Baltimore and lived with his aunt and his cousin; his later wife, Virginia. For seven years he lived with his aunt and his cousin until Poe asked Virginia to marry him and they moved to a place of their own. They were married for 6 happy years until Virginia was diagnosed with tuberculosis. She was sick for 5 years and Poe took care of her until she died in 1847. After 2 years of depression and sorrow, he set out to Richmond to meet up with his aunt. Two days later, he was found on a Baltimore street, half conscious and nearly dead. He was rushed to a hospital on October 3, 1849 and died on October 7, 1849.
