Hi. I'm a thirteen year old boy named Samuel. I live in Pennsylvania with my parents in a cabin. I'm the only child. I go out hunting for my food. I usually hunt deer or whatever I can get. As soon as I turned thirteen my life changed. My dad told me to go out and hunt. I don't like going into the woods because a lot of things can happen and I'm always by myself so if anything happens no one can help.
I would just like to live a normal life. I would wanna go to school, have friends, and live in a community. But I'm stuck here in the middle of the forest. I don't understand why my parents decided to move here. We go weeks without seeing people. I feel like I don't have a life living out here because I spend eight hours a day hunting in the woods alone. Hopefully one day I will travel long enough to find the way out. Because we're so far into the forest, I can't see any way out. Each day is a different day. Some days I could find lots of food. Others I find very little. It's my job to feed the family too.
I think that you explained a lot a about her. I could really understand what she was feeling like how hard it was for her. I think you could of talk a little more about what she does.
ReplyDeleteIt was good over all. It could be better if you added more about the main problem. You should explain more about why he doesn't like to go in the woods alone and why his parents moved far away and why they rely on him for food. It was easy to follow

ReplyDeleteI am curious as to why they moved deep into the woods. What time period is this set in? I thought it was Revolutionary War period. Also, why is it his responsibility to do all of the hunting? I feel that you could add more detail in your paragraphs that would answer these questions.
ReplyDeleteThey moved to the woods to get out of society. It don't really tell what time period. They tell him to do all the hunting because he's young and he's more active then them.
